About Me

I qualified in 1988 and have over 20 years experience of working in small accountancy practices helping small businesses and individuals with their accounts, VAT, tax returns, liasing with HM Customs and Revenue and all the other things that you would expect your accountant to do.
 
I have dealt with an extensive range of business types from Companies with multi-million pound turnovers to mums working from home with a small side-line, hobby type business.

I have had significant dealings with property income (lettings, development, capital gains), LLPs, and internet based businesses. I also have experience of dealing with tax investigations and negotiating with HMRC.

I also know what it’s like from your point of view as I have the benefit of direct practical experience of what it means to run your own business as I was heavily involved with the administration and accounts side of a non-accountancy business for several years.

I hold a current practicing certificate and full professional indemnity insurance. I am friendly, approachable and probably less formal than your typical accountancy practice, but will not let this compromise the standard of service.

I aim to be reasonably priced and am open to negotiation regarding whether work is done on a fixed fee or hourly charged basis.
